BOLTON model Lindsay True, who would later become Miss Bolton, was to be part of a four-day ski event at the town’s C&A store in 1988.
The department store was holding the special even t in conjunction with travel agents Lunn Poly and it was to feature ski travel experts in store, ski-ing videos being played and even a ski demonstration.
But the highlight was set to be the fashion show at the store on Hotel Street which had just completed a major refurbishment programme.
For those interested in fashion, Lindsay was wearing a multi-coloured ski jacket, £49.99 with ski pants (available in black or white) priced at £39.99.
Accessories included ski gloves, £7.99; head band, £4.99 and ski boots complete with purple trim for £17.99.
