THERE has been an increase in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in St Helens of six, according to the latest figures released today (Sunday).
The number for the borough has increased by six to 39, according to the latest Government figures.
Meanwhile, in Knowsley the number has increased by seven to 26.
There are likely to many more people with the virus, self-isolating at home.
Across the UK there have been 19,522 confirmed cases, with 1,228 people having died after testing positive for the coronavirus.
There are 135 cases of people confirmed to have recovered after contracting the virus.
