A 40-YEAR-OLD man who went behind the wheel while disqualified and failed to provide a breath sample has been jailed.
Dagwood Clarke, of Battersby Street, Leigh was sent to prison for 16 weeks at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
On March 21 Clarke drove a Jaguar while disqualified. He also had no insurance and failed to provide a breath sample when asked to do so.
Clarke also admitted to having cannabis in his possession on the same date.
He was given a 16 week sentence for failing to provide a breath test and a 16 week concurrent sentence for driving while disqualified.
No separate penalties were issued for driving without insurance and possession of cannabis.
He was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge and is disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for five years.
