A TOTAL of 94 additional officers have boosted Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) ranks since September.
The recruits were taken on following the Government's Join the Police campaign, which aims to employ 6,000 officers in England and Wales by the end of March 2021
GMP has been allocated 347 of the positions available.
Assistant Chief Officer Lynne Potts said: “GMP have been allocated 347 of the 6,000 additional Government grant funded officers which are to be delivered by March 31, 2021.
"By April 30, 2020, 94 of these new officers had been recruited".
Home Office figures released on April 30 found that police forces in England and Wales have been recruited 3,005 new officers since September.
