This week we have two buildings that have since vanished.
The first is the immense blocks of the Harrow Green Estate in Leytonstone, pictured here looking north from Holy Trinity Church in 1975. (Image courtesy of Vestry House Museum picture archive.)
Did you live on the estate and remember what it was like living or growing up there?
It has gone today - replaced by these much smaller blocks of flats in Melon Road. Do you remember when it was pulled down?
Here is Ridgeway House, situated on the corner of the Ridgeway and Kings Head Hill, Chingford, with the war memorial in the foreground, and cars that put this in the 1960s or early 1970s. (Image courtesy of Vestry House Museum picture archive)
Here is the same spot today. Ridgeway House has gone, replaced by a building called The Chantry.
