POLICE seized this machete after a pursuit of a suspect who abandoned a vehicle.
A police helicopter was used during the chase of a suspect and police dog units as the pursuit took place both on land and in water.
A vehicle was abandoned in Pennington Flash Country Park after the pursuit by traffic officers.
Patrols then had to work across both land and water to detain the suspect who was then arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of a large machete.
Officers say a man has been arrested following the pursuit on suspicion of numerous offences.
Police dogs were also used during the chase.
