THE MP for Bolton West and Atherton Chris Green has welcomed the announcement by the Prime Minister on the next easing of the lockdown.
Mr Green says "our community will start to come back together after these challenging times" following the announcement that more businesses, including in the hard-hit hospitality industry can reopen.
From July 4, pubs, restaurants, hotels, hairdressers as well as caravan parks can reopen once again as social distancing rules are eased from the two metre rule to 'one metre plus'.
Two households will also be able to meet indoors and stay overnight with social distancing.
The reopening of further sections of the economy has been made possible by the crucial announcement to reduce social distancing to one metre.
Speaking about the announcement, Chris Green said: “I am delighted with the announcement made today by the Prime Minister which sets out the plan out of lockdown.
“In particular, I also welcome the further reduction in the social distancing requirements to allow our high streets and local businesses to reopen safely.
“From July, businesses will once again be able to reopen, people will be able to reunite with their loved ones and our community will start to come back together after these challenging times.”
