FORMER Warrington Wolves scrum half Jamie Durbin has been fined by the courts after admitting harassment.

The 35-year-old academy graduate was a first team squad member at the Wire between 2001 and 2005, making two appearances for the club in total.

He appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, June 26, after being charged with harassment.

Durbin admitted this charge, with the court hearing that he turned up at a relative’s home in Widnes on several occasions over a three-day period last month making demands for alcohol and money.

The former Widnes Vikings, Leigh Centurions and North Wales Crusaders player was handed a restraining order banning him from entering her street until Christmas Day.

Magistrates also imposed an £80 fine, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.

Durbin, of Greenway Road in Widnes, was banned from rugby league for two years in 2006 after testing positive for having anabolic steroids in his system while turning out for the Chemics.

He later returned to the sport with the Leythers in 2009.
