A KNIFE was seized and a man arrested after police were called to Thatto Heath last night.
Patrols were sent to the junction of Thatto Heath and Elephant Lane on Tuesday evening.
A member of the public alleged a young man had been seen with a knife.
Officers carried out a search and seized the blade.
They also arrested a 20-year-old man.
In a statement police said: “This knife was recovered last night near the junction Elephant Lane/Sherdley Road Thatto Heath, patrols searched the area following concerns from a member of the public reporting a group of males in the area one seen with a knife .
“A 20-year-old male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.
“He has now been released under investigation.”
