WARRINGTON Borough Council has issued an update on the West Warrington Highways works.

From today, Thursday until Friday, July 31 Lingley Green Avenue will be closed between Kingsdale Road and Whittle Avenue in both directions.

This will be between 9.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday to carry out carriageway resurfacing and traffic signal installation works.

Stanhoe Drive will also be closed inbound between these times as and when required.

After 5pm, the westbound road closure on Lingley Green Avenue will be taken off but the eastbound closure will still remain in place.

A signed diversion route will be in place while we carry out these works.

After July 31, there will be some future traffic management on Lingley Green Avenue to complete that phase of the works.

The road can remain open whilst those works are carried out however the new widened lane will need to be closed as and when required.

Once the Lingley Green Avenue phase is complete the council will be moving onto Whittle Avenue southbound to carry out the final phase of the works.
