A REVAMPED Prestatyn business has drawn hundreds to the beach on its opening weekend.

Denbighshire Leisure Ltd have thanked residents and visitors who flocked to the Beach Hut Nova and observed the reopened businesses Covid-19 safety measures.

The sun came out just in time on Friday, July 24 for customers to take in the new 'rustic' eatery's beach front takeaway and an outdoor seating area.

Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “We are very grateful to all of the local visitors and holiday makers who came to support us on our first weekend of opening.

"It has been a fantastic weekend and we are so pleased that our customers were able to enjoy their time with us in a safe and relaxed environment.

"We want to thank our customers for their patience while we adhere to government guidelines and look forward to welcoming everyone back this weekend.”

Preparations are now well underway to open the newly refurbished ‘indoor’ beach Hut restaurant, which is due to open on Monday, August 10.

Councillor Bobby Feeley, Lead Member for Wellbeing and Independence, said: “Beach Hut Nova has proved to be a success from it’s very first weekend.

"After visiting on the opening day I was blown away by the transformation of the promenade at Nova, it truly felt like I was abroad with the sun shining, relaxed atmosphere and delicious menu on offer. Congratulations Denbighshire Leisure Ltd on once again delivering a fantastic destination for both local people and visitors to enjoy.”

Beach Hut outdoor takeaway is open 9am to 9pm throughout the Summer holidays, offering a new menu and extensive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
