POLICE searching for a missing teenage boy from Tyldesley have found a body.

No formal identification has been made at this stage but it is understood officers are working on the possibility that the remains are those of 15-year-old Jack Parker.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Jack had been missing since Tuesday afternoon and last night police appealed to trace him.

Jack was described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, of slim build with a shaved head and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing black Nike tracksuit bottoms, a navy blue ribbed coat, black Adidas torsion trainers with a red Adidas logo on the tongue.

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The teenager had last been seen about 2.30pm on Tuesday on Bodmin Road, Tyldesley.

Police, who said they were becoming increasingly concerned for Jack's welfare, issued a description and appeal for public help in tracing him.
