A CAR was left mangled after hitting two other cars during a police chase through Farnworth.
Traffic officers spotted a Honda Accord on Albert Road in Farnworth before it made off.
The vehicle was followed by police for four minutes and then struck two cars on Barton Road.
A picture shared on social media by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) shows that the Honda was significantly damaged following the crash.
A GMP spokesman said: "The Honda Accord was sighted on Albert Road, Farnworth.
"It collided with two other cars on Barton Road where the driver ran off."
The force said a foot chase took place on Piggott Street after the collision and a man was arrested.
