A MAN has been given a suspended sentence after admitting to an assault.
Adam Pendlebury, of Sidney Street, Newtown, appeared at Merseyside Magistrates' Court.
Pendlebury pleaded guilty to an assault by beating of a man on April 2 this year in Eccleston.
The 27-year-old was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Pendlebury must take part in an accredited programme and do up to 15 days' rehabilitation activity.
He must also carry out 80 hours of unpaid work over a period of 12 months.
Magistrates also made Pendlebury pay £300 in compensation.
