A MAN who forced his way into a property and then assaulted a woman has been given a restraining order.
Stephen Matthew Clancy, of Borough Road, St Helens, was sentenced at Merseyside Magistrates' Court.
Clancy, 34, pleaded guilty to using violence for the purpose of gaining entry to a property in Moss Bank on February 14.
He also admitted to an assault on a woman at the property.
Clancy also admitted to possession of amphetamine at a police station on the same date.
The 34-year-old was given a restraining order for 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation and, fined £50.
He must also pay £32 to victim services and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This makes a total of £267.
Clancy's guilty pleas were taken into account during sentencing.
