A FORMER pub which was built in 1734 and last run as an Italian restaurant is on the market.

Savills has listed the former Bella Napoli premises in Warrington Road, Little Leigh, for offers in the region of £500,000 plus VAT.

The restaurant ceased trading six years ago, but the building has only recently been placed on the market.

Jeff Wraith, associate director for licensed leisure at Savills Manchester, told the Guardian: “There has been some interest in it already. It is on a main road, so that will get plenty of interest.

“It has only just come up since Covid-19 though, so it is early doors yet.”

The building is on two floors and sits in a 0.93-acre site off the A49.

It was extended in the 20th century and features a former beer garden, a private yard and parking for 20 cars.
