A MAN has been charged with murder over the death of Steven McMyler in Wigan.
Jordan Short, 19 of Rushey Hey Road, Kirkby, near Liverpool, has been charged with the murder of 34-year-old Steven James McMyler. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wigan Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, August 13.
Shortly before 7.50pm on Thursday 6 August 2020, police were called by the ambulance service to reports of concern for a man outside the Wiggan Parish Church on Bishopgate, Wigan.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Steven James McMyler sadly died at the scene.
Three men – aged 30, 19 and 18 – were arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation.
A 19-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy have since been arrested on suspicion of murder. The boy remains in custody for questioning.
