A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a lorry on the East Lancs Road on Bank Holiday Monday.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident that happened at 1.15pm on the Manchester bound carriageway of the East Lancashire Road, near to Windle Island.
A motorbike and a lorry were involved in a crash.
A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injures.
“His condition is not life threatening. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene.”
