A DAMAGED electricity cable caused a power cut in Golborne overnight, say Electricity North West.
At around 11pm on Thursday, engineers were called after the power supply was affected in the area.
Electricity North West said at 11.08pm: "We apologise about the power cut in WA3 area of Golborne. Engineers are en-route to fix the issue, we will update will more information as it comes."
A spokesperson added that it is believed the loss of power was caused by damage to a high voltage cable in the area.
At around 1am, Electricity North West said the issue had been resolved and power restored.
It is the second power cut reported by Electricity North West in Golborne in 10 days, after homes in the area were affected on Tuesday, August 25.
