A MAN has been fined for having a dog dangerously out of control.
David Cranny, of Elm Road, Thatto Heath appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court.
Cranny, 49, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a German Shepherd which was dangerously out of control on April 14 this year on Thatto Heath Road.
Cranny was fined £40 and must pay a surcharge of £34 to victim services and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service. This makes a total of £159.

The court made a Contingent Destruction Order on the German Shepherd, named Rock Star.
This means that unless the dog is kept under proper control by being securely held on a lead and being securely fitted with a muzzle to prevent it from being able to bite a person, the animal must be destroyed.
Cranny’s guilty plea was taken into account upon sentencing.
