FLORAL tributes are building near to where a teenage girl was struck by a car on Saturday night.
The 14-year-old died after being knocked down on Blackbrook Road, Blackbrook at about 9.50pm.
The youngster, whose identity has not been officially released, was taken to hospital but later died in hospital.
Throughout the day heartbroken friends have been placing tributes beside a stone wall near to the scene of the fatal impact.

Witness appeal signs have been placed in Blackbrook, about 20 metres from the Ship Inn pub.
Two young men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody for questioning.
Among the poignant tributes at the scene are a pink heart-shaped balloon and a photograph of a group of friends.
Handwritten notes are attached to bouquets of flowers.
One of the messages from a friend read: “RIP we all love you. Fly high princess.”
Another read: “I love you with all my heart and forever will.
“You were the best friend anyone could wish for.”
Another friend added: “I don’t know what I’m going to do without you my girl.”
The police investigation was continuing today.
A Merseyside Police statement read: “Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, CCTV, or dashcam footage.”
