KNUTSFORD Mayor Cllr Andrew Malloy and his wife, Mayoress Nicole Malloy, are taking on a Three Peak Challenge on Sunday for the mayoral charities.
The Mayor and Mayoress will be joined by four other walkers on a 15 to 20-mile walk/hike, ascending Teggs Nose, Shutlingsloe and Shining Tor, which are between Macclesfield and Buxton.
The challenge is very close to the Mayor’s heart as his father, who was an avid hiker, died in a fall in Snowdonia in 2005.
The event follows the Mayor and Mayoress’ successful fundraising Cycle Tour of East Cheshire in September 2019, and will be one of the Mayor’s final fundraising events, where he is raising funds for a starter fund for a new skate park and to support local youth sports and leisure groups.
