A WOMAN who got behind the wheel with cannabis in her system last Christmas Eve has been given a community order.
Kayleigh Marie Warburton, of Crawford Avenue, Tyldesley appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
Warburton, 26, pleaded guilty to driving with a proportion of a controlled drug in her blood and to driving without due care and attention.
She drove a Ford Focus on Lord Street, Leigh with a proportion of Delta 9 Tetrahydrocannabinol, the main ingredient of cannabis, in her blood, namely six micrograms, exceeding the prescribed limit on December 24, 2019.
Warburton was sentenced to a community order for the drug driving offence and made to do 40 hours of unpaid work over 12 months.
The 26-year-old was also disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £90 surcharge to victim services, making a total of £190.
She was given no separate penalty for the driving without due care offence.
