THE council's director of public health Professor Kate Ardern will host a live Q&A session for residents relating to coronavirus later this week.

Leigh and its surrounding areas, along with the rest of the borough and Greater Manchester were placed under 'Tier Two' measures on Monday.

A live Q&A session will take place on the local authority's Facebook page on Thursday, October 15.

People can submit their questions by 5pm on Wednesday by commenting on the post on the council website.

Prof Ardern will be on hand from 6pm to answer questions relating to coronavirus and social distancing.

If there is time, she will also answer questions submitted during the session.
