Pupils from Bryn Offa Primary School in Pant made sure they played their part ion helping to raise money for the London marathon last month.

A number of classes from across the school took part in a 2.6-mile challenge alongside teacher Lucy Maxfield, who also took part in the main event, albeit virtually.

Ms Maxfield said she was delighted with how it went and they have been raising money for a children's cahrity.

She said: "We completed the London mini marathon as a whole school.

"It took us two weeks to complete 2.6 miles – each class bubble completed it during their PE sessions and the children absolutely loved it!!

"I also completed the full virtual London marathon in aid of NSPCC."

Ms Maxfield said more than 100 pupils took part in the mini-marathons at the school in Rockwell Lane, and she thanked al the children for their efforts.
