WARRINGTON Hospital has recorded another coronavirus-related death, as the toll rises to 185.
The total number of deaths of Covid-19 patients at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has increased by one since yesterday.
Overall, 121 people are currently being treated for the virus at the Lovely Lane site.
Sixteen of these inpatients are in intensive care.
The number of patients who have been discharged from the hospital after being treated for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic stands at 577.
In Warrington, 878 positive Covid-19 tests were recorded in the week leading up to October 23.
This represents 418.1 cases per 100,000 residents, which is the 36th highest rate of any local authority area in the country at present.
By comparison, in the seven days leading up to October 16 there were 696 new cases, representing 331.4 cases per 100,000 residents.
