A MAN who stole alcohol and admitted to three counts of assault has been given a community order.
Michael Thomas Duffy, of Castle Street, Tyldesley pleaded guilty to the theft of a bottle of alcohol from Aldi in Leigh in August 12.
He also pleaded guilty to assaults on three men on the same date in Tyldesley.
Duffy, 39, was sentenced to a community order and must have treatment for alcohol dependency and undertake up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity.
Duffy must also do 120 hours of unpaid work in 12 months.
He was also made to pay £95 to victim services and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Duffy was also ordered to pay £75 in compensation for each of the assaults.
In total, this makes a sum of £405 to be paid.
