JOURNAL reader Albert Catterall has shared this wonderful historic picture with us.
The photograph depicts a May Day parade from All Saints Parish in Hindley.
It is believed the picture was taken in 1950.
Albert says he is the first cub scout from the left in the picture, who is holding the flag.
Albert, from Hindley, said: "This is a picture of the May Day Parade from All Saints Parish in Hindley.as I can recall,in 1950. I hope this is of some use for your paper."
