A MUM-OF-TWO in the running to be the cover girl of a well-known magazine is hoping for public votes to help her achieve her dream.
The Star reported earlier this month after Samantha 'Sami Lou' Adamson was shortlisted to be on the cover of Inked magazine.
Inked is a popular tattoo and lifestyle magazine and is on the hunt for its Cover Girl of 2021.
Sami Lou, who lives in Parr, sent in a submission for the contest which sees entries from across the world.
The personal trainer, who has recently been sharing videos on her YouTube channel to help others during the coronavirus pandemic, was delighted to get a response that she had been shortlisted for the $25,000 prize.
Voting now opens later today, Tuesday, for the cover girl contest.
"A friend sent a link to apply for it and I've been shortlisted," said Sami Lou, 36.
"I emailed and to be honest I didn't think anything of it.
"But after a couple of days they said I had got through. I have now set up my own profile with a few pictures."
Mum-of-two Sami Lou, who featured in Star articles about modelling work a decade ago, says being published in the magazine would be a dream come true.
"I have always wanted to be published as a model and haven't done modelling for years," she added.
"It would be massive."
The next stage of contest will go over to a public vote. Votes are being taken from 6pm today, January 19.
