THERE have been reports of flooding on several roads again as heavy downpours continue.

The council says it has been made aware of excess water at various locations.

Here are the latest updates:

College Street, Lingholme Road and Blackbrook Road/Stanley Bank Way at the Ship Inn has seen heavy flooding.

College Street is now closed, while Lingholme Road and Blackbrook Road remain open, but still affected by heavy flooding.

The fishing lake next to the St Helens Linkway McDonald's roundabout has flooded Burtonhead Road, which is now closed to all traffic between roundabouts.

Traffic management blocking access to the household waste and recycling centre (the tip) has temporarily been lifted allowing exit from the retail park.

Motorists are advised to avoid Rainford Road at St Helens Crematorium, where Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service are working from the road to clear flooding at the crematorium and Malt House Court.

Peasley Cross Lane is closed at the bridge, safety barriers active and diversion route in place.

Access tothe  Totally Wicked Stadium and the mass vaccination centre is maintained via Peasley Cross Lane.

Gorsey Lane, Bold is closed from Neills Road to Warrington boundary. There is a diversion at Neills Road-Bold Lane-Back Lane-Phipps Lane-Chapel Lane.

Vista Road, Newton-le-Willows remains closed due to flooding near to Makerfield Drive.

There are also reports of flooding at Pimbo Road Kings Moss, Abinger Road Garswood, Martin Avenue Windle, and Malt House Court Windle.

These roads have not been closed.
