A THIEF who stole around £1,000 worth of items has been given an electronic curfew.
Jason Owen, of Commonacre Close, Tyldesley was sentenced to a community order at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
Owen, 50, had admitted to stealing items in Mosley Common to the value of between £900 and £1,000 belonging to a female on January 21 this year.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to stealing a £2 bottle of orange juice belonging to a male on the same date.
He was given an eight-week electronic tag.
Owen was also ordered to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, making a total of £180.
