A MAN has admitted to having a baseball bat on him as a weapon and assault.
Keith John Ogden, of Walnut Grove, Leigh was sentenced to a community order for the offences.
Ogden, 55, pleaded guilty at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court to having an offensive weapon, namely a baseball bat in his possession in a public place in Leigh on September 21, 2019.
He also admitted to an assault by beating on the same date.
Ogden must do up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
He was also made to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The 55-year-old was also given a restraining order not to contact the assault victim
