Police had closed the road earlier today
A CAR and a cyclist were involved in a crash this afternoon (Tuesday).
St Helens Road, Leigh was closed earlier between Beech Walk and Bonnywell Road.
The collision happened close to Chestnut Avenue. A man has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Just before 4.30pm, police said the road is now fully open again.
A GMP spokesman said: "One male has been taken to hospital, their injuries are not thought to be life changing/threatening."
