A GATHERING which took place on Saturday night in Astley was dispersed by police.
Officers were called to Chat Moss on Saturday, April 3.
It is understood that a group of around 30 people were dispersed.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said British Transport Police had made officers aware of the gathering.
Police attended and the group was dispersed.
The gathering was not related to the stabbing on Higher Green Lane, Astley on Saturday evening, the Journal understands.
Under current coronavirus regulations, up to six people can meet outdoors.
