BIRCHWOOD twins Kristen and Caitlin Welch are appearing on a new BBC game show this weekend.
The 25-year-old sisters will be aiming to win £10,000 in Saturday's episode of I Can See Your Voice which is presented by comedian Paddy McGuinness.
BBC One's programme revolves around contestants guessing who can and can’t sing from a group – without any of them uttering a single note until the end of a selection process.
Assisted by Jimmy Carr, Amanda Holden and TV personality Alison Hammond, former Woolston High students Kristen and Caitlin will instead have to watch closely for body language clues during lip sync challenges before whittling the group down to one 'singer'.
The person chosen will then perform a duet with the week's guest star, which this Saturday is M People's Heather Small.
If Kristen and Caitlin pick a good singer then they will take the prize – but if a tone deaf singer is revealed, the imposter will pocket the cash.
Kristen said: "If you think you are a good judge of character then think again. The show will have you second guessing everything. We had so much fun.”
A spokesman for the show, based on a South Korean format, added: "I Can See Your Voice promises a whole new take on the singing game show genre as well as lots of music, comedy and play-along fun for the whole family to enjoy. It’s the show that will prove that when it comes to singing talent, what you see isn’t always what you get."
Kristen and Caitlin's episode of I Can See Your Voice is on BBC One on Saturday at 7.40pm
