SPINNING Gate Shopping Centre has welcomed the reopening of its three cafes for sit-in dining today (Monday, May 17) in line with step three of the roadmap to ease coronavirus restrictions.

Caffe Dolce, Costa Coffee and Spinning Slots Cafe & Amusement Arcade have started serving customers inside again as the latest stage of the unwinding of government measures took place.

Spinning Gate, which continued to remain open during all three national lockdowns, safely welcomed the opening of all of its cafes for sit in dining.

Meanwhile, all 35 stores within the 110,000 sq ft centre are now fully re-opened for shoppers to enjoy.

Karen Cox, centre manager said: “I am absolutely delighted to safely welcome back all our stores at Spinning Gate, we wish them all a hugely safe & successful return.

"The past 12 months have been incredibly difficult for the retail and hospitality industries, so please keep the pound around and continue to support our stores and the town centre by shopping local with us.

"Staff in our stores are really looking forward to providing an incredibly warm welcome back to our shoppers.

"They have all worked tirelessly to ensure their stores remain 'Covid-safe'. These step three measures contained within the Government roadmap out of lockdown is the next step closer to brighter days ahead."

Spinning Gate Shopping Centre continues to implement enhanced measures to ensure the safety of all its shoppers, store staff, the centre team and to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 whilst in centre.

The centre reminds shoppers to continue to wear face coverings, remain at a safe distance from each other, and to continue to follow all Government guidelines and advice. The centre has also provided hand sanitiser stations for shoppers to use.

Similarly, stores have also implemented such additional measures to help ensure the safety of their customers. At times, shoppers maybe required to queue outside stores, to ensure they remain socially distanced whilst maintaining a safe shopping environment in store.

A full list of stores which are now open in the centre is available on the centres social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn), along with the centre's website: spinninggate.co.uk
