A popular Leigh beauty spot has provided the backdrop for a national dog services company to launch in the United States, Canada and South America.

Bark and Birch Is a team of experienced dog behaviourists and ex police or army dog handlers currently trainIng more than 700 animals a month.

The company wanted some new promotional shots for its website and chose Pennington Flash as the ideal location to capture some shots.

Bark and Birch’s team teach basic and advanced obedience, either as part of a residential board and train programme, where dogs are boarded at the home of their trainers enjoying all home comforts, or through a series of private one to one sessions with daily video and photo updates as well as progress reports for owners.

They can help with puppy training, separation anxiety and human or dog aggression as well as guard dog training, doggy day care and holiday boarding.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We recently held a photo shoot at Pennington Flash with local photographer Jon Lee to get some images for our launch worldwide.

“There were 20 dogs and some of our trainers and Pennington Flash was an amazing backdrop.”

Lead by head trainers John Ward and Steve Lunn, the company currently operates in the UK, Ireland and Portugal but has now launched in LA, Houston, New York and Georgia with plans to develop across the remaining US states this year as well as six other countries in 2022.
