TOFT Cricket Club’s Andy Jackson will struggle to forget the past few days.
On Tuesday evening, he smashed 100 off just 47 balls – including nine sixes – to help his side to a 63-run T20 win over Oulton Park.
Jackson’s knock helped Toft to an imposing 200-8 before the visitors were bowled out for just 137 in reply.
That came just three days after Jackson became only the third Toft bowler to take eight wickets in a match in the past 30 years on Saturday.
His eight wickets came at a cost of just 22 runs in 15 overs as he ripped through Cheadle’s batting line-up to dismiss them for just 66.
Cheadle were attempting to reply to an excellent batting display from Toft, who racked up 223-8 with James Drummond top scoring with 42.
Toft’s 157-run win backed up another big display in the T20 competition on Thursday evening.
Henry Hughes smashed 77 off just 45 balls as they finished on 189-4 against Bowdon, with Drummond adding valuable support by hitting 52.
The bowlers then took over with skipper Jimmy Lomas taking 3-21 as Bowdon were restricted to 106-6.
