ATHERTON’S Keely Hodgkinson has reached the Olympic 800m final.
The British Champion, who races for Leigh Harriers, won the last Women's 800m semi-final clocking a time of 1:59.12.
The 19-year-old timed the last 100m to perfection to pip Chunyu Wang of China in a photo finish.
In the earlier semi, Jemma Reekie was second, clocking a time of one minute 59.77 seconds to finish just behind Natoya Goule of Jamaica.
Alex Bell was one of the fastest third-place finishers to make it three Team GB runners in Tuesday's final.
