A TEENAGER has been arrested in relation to the stabbing of a 23-year-old in a Bolton park last month.
Greater Manchester Police have arrested an 18-year-old on suspicion of a Section 18 assault following the incident, which occurred at Queens Park, Bolton, on Wednesday, September 29.
Officers were contacted around 8:40pm after reports a man had been seriously assaulted by two other men, before being hit by a car outside the park entrance on Chorley New Road.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the victim has since been discharged from hospital with "minor injuries".
A distressing sight for residents and passers-by, the park entrance remained taped off the following day as police investigated the circumstances surrounding the assault.
An 18-year-old has now been arrested, and released on conditional bail with enquiries continuing.
