AFTER a successful return to the stage, Bolton Symphony Orchestra is now preparing for its next concert at The Victoria Hall on November 13.
Entitled Tradition and Redemption, the programme starts with Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. The second piece is a beautiful piece for solo cello with orchestral accompaniment – Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, based on traditional Jewish folk music. In the second part of the concert, the orchestra will be joined by the Choir of Bolton Catholic Musical and Choral Society to perform Fauré’s Requiem, a piece which is also traditional in many ways, but full of hope and redemption.
There will be no refreshments served, so people can bring their own bottle of water. Tickets are £12, and under 19s are free but will still need a ticket. Tickets can be bought in advance at https://www.boltonsymphony.org.uk/ or on 01204 522569. Tickets will also be on the door.
