A RUGBY Union team in Leigh have teamed up with a local pub to sponsor them throughout the season and continue their ongoing support.

The Parsonage pub hosted Leigh Cobra's shirt presentation for the upcoming season over the weekend, and celebrated their new sponsorship deal with the team.

The Cobra's are the under 12's team at Leigh RUFC, who play at the Clubhouse on Hand Lane.

Staff at the Hungry Horse franchise on Leighbrook Way welcomed the young rugby players to showcase their new black and yellow strip on Saturday, November 20, and as a thank you from the players, the pub was also given their own shirt too.

"The Parsonage has been supported by the local community and it’s great to be able to give back to a very worthy cause. We wish the team the best of luck with their upcoming season.”
