A MAN charged with the manslaughter of Paul Ologbose has made his first court appearance.
Paul Brierley, 43, of Hendon Street, Leigh, went before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 25.
Brierley has been charged with one count of manslaughter in connection with Mr Ologbose's death.
Police were called shortly before 2am on Sunday, January 23 to a report of an assault outside Higher Fold Sports and Social Club, Kensington Drive, Leigh.
Mr Ologbose was injured during the altercation and taken to hospital where he sadly died as a result of his injuries later that day.
At the hearing, the case was sent to Bolton Crown Court, where Brierley will next appear in February.
No plea has yet been issued in the case.
The 43-year-old was remanded back into custody until his next scheduled hearing to be held on Monday, February 28.
