Leigh has bene hit by strong winds today
A YELLOW wind warning remains in place in the areas as Storm Franklin rages.
High gusts are expected until around 7pm today and continuing into the next few days.
With these high winds people are asked to be careful travelling and to plan theirr route in advance as some routes are affected by delays.
Meanwhile, the bird hides at Pennington Flash will remain closed today (Monday) due to the storm, Wigan Council has said.
