The event will raise much needed funds for the club, which has struggled over the past few years.

Organiser David Bowen said: “The club has had a rough few years through Covid-19, vandalism and travellers making the site a mess. It will be so good to hold a really fun event and give something back to a place that tries to do a lot for the local community, not just through Cricket but getting youths involved and hosting coffee mornings.

“It will be a fun filled day and I can’t wait for everyone to come and have fun, while giving back to Atherton Cricket Club.”

The event, which costs £9.99 for children and £19.99 for adults, will take place from 12.30pm.
