LEIGH Centurions warmed up for Saturday’s AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final with a half century mauling of Cumbrians Workington Town.
Blake Ferguson grabbed four of the 13 tries in the 58-6 triumph taking just three minutes to get off the mark.
He was followed over the whitewash by Ed Chamberlain, Krisnan Inu, Kai O’Donnell, Nene Macdonald who with Ferguson’s hat-trick made it 30-6 at the break.
Two minutes into the second half Macdonald stepped two would-be defenders to grab his second of the game.
There were braces too for O’Donnell, Inu and Chamberlain.
Ferguson walked in for his fourth before Mellor racing down the wing to touch down for the final try of the afternoon.
