TOTTENHAM-bound Leigh Centurions have urged all Leythers to turn up on Friday morning to give the team a massive send off from Leigh Sports Village.

The final of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup is Leigh's biggest date in London since they beat Leeds 51 years ago in the 1971 Challenge Cup Final.

They will take on Featherstone Rovers, the last team to beat them in any game and their massive rivals for a Super League spot.

The team is due to set off on Friday at 10. 30am at LSV and the club are advising fans to get to the ground for 10am.

Head of Rugby Chris Chester said: “The support the Leigh fanbase has given this team so far this season has been nothing short of tremendous.

“Cup final days don’t come around often and this Saturday will prove to be a battle of the very best sides in the Championship, who are both playing at the peak of their powers.

“In my eyes, this final isn’t just about the team. It is also about you, the fans, and giving you a chance to show off the Cherry and White down in the capital at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“We, as a squad, are doing everything we can to make sure we come back to Leigh with the 1895 Cup and we would be blown away if the fans could get down to LSV on Friday to show their support.”

Tickets are still on sale for the Final at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are available from here until Thursday, 5pm.
