A STOLEN Jaguar that had been taken in a burglary was discovered and seized by police on Friday.

Officers reported that the Jaguar XF had been found near Union Street in Tyldesley.

They say that forensic examinations will now be conducted to try to find the car’s rightful owner and to track down the burglars.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Stolen from Bolton via a burglary, this Jaguar XF has been located in the rear alley of Union Street, Tyldesley.

“It has been seized for forensic exams.”

As of yet no arrests have been reported in connection with the theft of the car in Bolton and police have not yet provided further details about where in the borough they believe that the Jaguar was taken from.

This comes amid recurring concerns about car thefts and other crimes and cases of anti-social behaviour on the roads across Bolton and Greater Manchester as a whole.

As well as thefts, this has included dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and speeding.

Police have urged anyone concerned about crime on the roads to get in touch by calling 101 or 999 n the event of an emergency.

Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
