A BOY has tragically died aged just 17 following a fatal collision in Warrington.

At around 9.30pm on Monday, July 18, officers were called to reports of a serious collision on Holcroft Lane, near Culcheth.

Sadly, a 17-year-old boy from Irlam died at the scene.

Cheshire Police says his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A 13-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing, and officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen a moped and another motorbike around the time of the incident to come forward.

The same goes to anyone who may dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
