FORENSIC officers remain at the scene of a property in Atherton after a serious incident left a man with "life changing injuries".
The police were called to an address on Gadbury Fold, Atherton at around 8.05am on Sunday, July 31, to reports of a seriously injured man.
Police have confirmed that the man has sustained life changing injuries and remains in intensive care.
Wigan Criminal Investigation Deparatment have been investigating at the scene, along with police officers and forensic experts who have been conducting thorough searches at the address.
Residents have shared their shock at seeing crime scene investigators at the property.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed the details of the incident, adding that the search of the property is likely to be concluded on Wednesday evening.
